Applause Series Event - Scott Sanchez, Classical Guitarist, Presents Bach, Brubeck, Beatles, and Beyond

Friday, December 4, 2020

The concert incorporates classical, jazz, and pop idioms into a varied program sure to please a broad spectrum of music lovers. Originally from Colorado, Sanchez’s playing has been described as “Colorful and poignant” by Soundboard Magazine and “Very engaging, virtuosic and spirited” by David Leisner, Chair of the classical guitar program at the Manhattan School of Music. Sanchez has performed in Europe and throughout North America. Sanchez's recordings cover a vast repertoire spanning the music of the Baroque era to modern day masterpieces. He has recorded music for the Contemporary Anthology of Solo Guitar Music and he regularly arranges and composes for the guitar. Sanchez is currently head of guitar studies at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire.

The Agawam Cultural Council thanks the Agawam Special Police, Elaine Carlson, Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi, and OMG, Inc. for their generous support as Applause Series Season Sponsors.
