AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS OPEN HOUSE AT AGAWAM LIBRARY
The Community Resources for People with Autism will be holding an Autism Spectrum Disorders open house at the Agawam Public Library on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Children’s Activity room.
Jason Litto, Family Support Manager and Autism Specialist will be at the library to answer questions and provide current information on resources and events available to local residents. He will also discuss and offer suggestions on various topics of concern to families and individuals dealing with autism, including communication techniques, teaching strategies, skill development and behavioral issues.
Community Resources for People with Autism, located in Easthampton, provides support, information, and practical help for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families living in Western Massachusetts. The library’s Autism Resource Collection, located in the parenting section of the Children’s Room, will be on display for browsing or borrowing. Suggestions for additions to the collection are always appreciated by the library staff.
