The first program in the Adult Summer Reading Program “READ, RELAX, REVIEW 2010” is The Labyrinth Experience. This program will be in the Community Room Monday, June 28th at 6:30. Please visit or call the library at 789-1550 ext.109 to register.
A labyrinth is a single, circular path, which can be used to provide a powerful experience to those who walk it with respect. It can be used to solve a problem, face a truth about oneself, pray, heal or celebrate. Come learn the history and the way to walk a labyrinth, as well as labyrinths you can visit in this area.
Lorraine Villemaire is a Veriditas certified labyrinth facilitator and author of “The Labyrinth Experience”. As a consultant on various labyrinth projects, she provides staff training workshops on how to implement a labyrinth curriculum within educational settings. She will bring a portable 24-foot square labyrinth to the library to kick-off our Adult Summer Reading Program.
The Agawam Center Library Association sponsors this event.
