Jane Barrientos, local artist and art teacher, will talk about and demonstrate painting to “trick the eye”, a school of painting formally called “trompe l’oeil” that makes objects look real enough for the viewer to want to reach out and touch them.
The Agawam Cultural Council has announced their third season of the “Applause” series of cultural events featuring well-known Pioneer Valley and national writers and artists for the fall, winter and spring. These events are free and open to the public. Events are held at the Agawam Public Library, 750 Cooper Street, at 7:30 p.m., except as noted.
