Add to the many traditions of St. Patrick’s Day an annual concert of Irish music sponsored by the Agawam Cultural Council as part of their popular Applause Series. The 2017 edition will take place at the Agawam Senior Center on Friday, March 3, 2017 and will feature The Tinkers 3. The evening will be filled with Irish song, Irish humor, and Irish tales both large and small!
The Tinkers 3 are Mic Finnerty, Guy Wallis, and Tom Terry. Singer, guitarist, storyteller, and jokester-in-chief, Finnerty hails from the Hungry Hill section of Springfield. He has also spent a great deal of time in the old sod, where he began performing at the age of five.
Scotland, Connecticut native Wallis is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who performs regularly around New England with various acts. He also teaches music at Performance Music in Westfield.
Bassist and vocalist Terry is a Massachusetts resident and New Jersey native who also performs regularly in the Northeast, and teaches music locally.
The Agawam Senior Center is located at 954 Main Street in Agawam, Massachusetts and can be reached by phone at (413) 821-0604. This and all Applause Series events are free and open to the public.
