Sting to host first round playoff game Saturday at Agawam High School

Springfield, Mass. – The Springfield Sting of the American Basketball Association will host a first round divisional playoff game Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Agawam High School. A Sting win would bring a second round game to Agawam High School on Sunday, March 12 at 6 p.m. The Sting will face New York on Saturday, a team that Springfield had a 2-1 record against during the regular season. The 124-123 loss came in New York, as the Sting lost on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer. The ABA playoffs will have the division champions meet in Baltimore for the ABA Final Eight, March 29-April 2.
The Sting closed out their inaugural regular season Saturday night with a 154-117 win over New
England at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Once again Steve Samuel lead the Sting with another great game, scoring 24 points in the win. Roosevelt Lee also added 23 for the Sting, as they earned an impressive victory over their Northeast Division rival from Worcester.
