Mayor Richard A. Cohen is extremely proud to announce that the Town of Agawam will join First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign. This event will kickoff on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. beginning at Borgatti Field, River Road (south entrance near the playscape area) and continue to the bike path.  It will be held for the next two consecutive Saturdays, same location and time, with a guest walker each Saturday. The first 60 participants will receive a free pedometer donated by BCBS of Massachusetts. Healthy refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk near the Barn.

The Mayor has assembled an advisory team and heading that team will be Mrs. Shelby Hall-Gibbons. Shelby, a Feeding Hills resident, holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from American International college and M. ED from Springfield College.  She has over 30 years of counseling and program development experience.  Shelby stated that “We are very excited to be part of the Let’s Move campaign.
