Applause Series Event - Sheryl Faye Returns with her One-Woman Portrayal of the Life of Clara Barton

Friday, February 3, 2023

Sheryl Faye returns to the Agawam Cultural Council Applause Series with a virtual presentation her one-woman show based on the life of Civil War nurse, American Red Cross founder, and Massachusetts native Clara Barton. The virtual performance will be broadcast on Agawam Comcast Channel 15 and streamed on www.agawammedia.tv on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 7:00 pm. From the time Clara Barton was old enough to be a nurse within her own family, her life was dedicated to helping others. She accepted no pay as teaching children. During the Civil War, she filled warehouses with food, medicine and clothing, and then courageously went to the front to attend the wounded and dying. In 1881, she established the American Red Cross. Since 2003, Sheryl Faye has masterfully brought to life important historical women in performances across the United States. Her one-woman shows immerse the audience in a multimedia learning experience that captivates viewers and sparks their interest to explore more.
