The Town of Agawam is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for The Clifford M. Granger School Boiler #1 Replacement REBID, 2023, in accord with the Project Manual and Drawings prepared by the office of Casella Design Associates, LLC, 200 Shoemaker Lane, Agawam MA. The Contract is estimated to be $155,000.00.

Sealed Bids shall be received from eligible bidders until 11:00 AM, May 3, 2023 at the office of the Chief Procurement Officer, within the Town Hall at 36 Main Street Agawam, MA 01001 where said bids shall be opened and publicly read aloud within said office.
Each general bid and filed sub bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, cash, or a certified check or a treasurer’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company having offices in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The proposal guarantee shall be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the Town of Agawam.
A non-mandatory Pre Bid Conference for all contractors shall be held at 11:00 AM April 25, 2023 at the site 31 Westfield Street Feeding Hills, MA. Please assemble outside in the front (horse-shoe shaped driveway) parking area, on the west side of the building. The conference is for all Contractors, but attendance is not mandatory.
To be given consideration, all general bids and all filed sub bids must be accompanied by a copy of the Bidder's Certificate of Eligibility and an Update Statement. The General Bidder must be certified eligible in the DCAMM HVAC category.
Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract.
Bidders’ selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition. Final award shall be dependent upon funding appropriation.
