Agawam, MA Expands Online Permitting with OpenGov Partnership
Agawam, MA - November 20, 2024 - The City of Agawam, MA has taken a major step forward in improving public access to local government services by expanding its online permitting capabilities in partnership with OpenGov.
For over a decade, Agawam has utilized permit management software to streamline its permitting processes. On December 4th the city will launch the new public permitting portal, enabling residents and businesses to apply for several permits online.
"Our partnership with OpenGov allows us to provide a more convenient, accessible permitting experience for the Agawam community," said Mayor Christopher Johnson. IT Director Jeffrey Hulbert noted that "We're excited to offer this enhanced digital service and plan to expand our online permitting offerings in the near future."
The new Agawam permitting portal will be available on the town website starting December 4, 2024. The city and OpenGov intend to continue collaborating to bring additional permits online, further improving efficiency and transparency for local constituents.
