The Agawam Stormwater Advisory Task Force is pleased to announce the launch of an online video regarding Agawam’s storm sewer system. This video contains information and testimonials from various Agawam residents, business owners and municipal officials regarding the current condition of the storm system and future maintenance and funding requirements.
In 2017, the 10-member Task Force was formed which included Agawam residents, clergy members, business owners, city councilors and Public Work officials. The goal of the Task Force was to determine the future maintenance needs of the storm system and research additional funding options to help pay for large-scale capital improvement projects, pollution removal efforts and federal permit requirements. With the assistance from Moonshadow Media, consultant Rich Niles from Wood (formerly Amec Foster Wheeler), and the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, the video was produced.
