Here in Agawam it is estimated there are over 6,000 dogs that produce more than 779 tons of poop per year. Dog waste left on the ground, or thrown down a storm drain, washes with the next rainfall straight to our rivers and lakes. The cumulative impacts of improper waste disposal make our local waters unsafe for swimming and boating.
