[ARCHIVED] Town licenses and permits will remain valid without the need to renew during the state of emergency.

For Immediate Release

Mayor William P. Sapelli would like to remind Agawam residents that Town licenses and permits will remain valid without the need to renew during the state of emergency. Governor Baker signed into law H.4598, An Act to Address Challenges Faced by Municipalities and State Authorities Resulting from COVID-19 that makes any permit or license in existence as of March 10, 2020 valid without the need to renew while the Commonwealth remains under a state of emergency.

Dog licenses and any other license or permits that are scheduled to expire will automatically be extended during the state of emergency without a need for the resident to take action. The Mayor’s Office will issue further instructions when circumstance change regarding the state of emergency.
