NOTICE OF PUBLIC DISCLOSURE
FISCAL 2024 REVALUATION OF REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF AGAWAM, MA
In compliance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 56, the Board of Assessors have completed a revaluation of all real and personal property in the Town of Agawam. PRELIMINARY CERTIFICATION FROM THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE FOR ALL PROPERTIES IN THE TOWN OF AGAWAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024 IS PENDING.
Analysis of real estate transactions from January 2021 through December 2022, as well as regional data, were reviewed during the revaluation. The values were adjusted to reflect full and fair cash value as of January 1, 2023. Overall, compared to Fiscal Year 2022, real estate property values have increased 14.9%. Note the actual percentage change on individual tax bills will differ as the tax rate has not yet been set.
The preliminary values will be available for public viewing beginning Monday, November 13, 2023 for five business days ending Friday, November 17, 2023. Public Disclosure is available for public review by going to the Town of Agawam website at www.agawam.ma.us, and clicking on the link provided showing “FY24 Assessed Values”.
